About
Poet and writer/photographer on nature, travel, history, art and poetry for the Princeton Packet and other New Jersey publications, I have lived primarily in Princeton since 1968.
Nature in general and the D&R Canal and Towpath in particular, are my university, mentor, constant inspiration, even sanitarium, –particularly from a kayak.
In my work as Program and Development Associate/Arts Liaison for D&R Greenway Land Trust, and in this blog, I utilize and link various arts to catalyze and expand appreciation for, and preservation of, nature.
In word, image and deed, I lead others on nearby nature excursions. My quest is the wild that still infuses our beleaguered state, the wild out our windows.
My life motto is Henry David Thoreau’s, “In wildness is the preservation of the world.”
p.s. Princeton’s Cool Women Poets, –which critique and themed performance group I co-founded–, are frequently asked to read as, “Cool Women, Forces of Nature.”
