Quantcast

Dear NJ WILD Readers,

As spring coalesces on all sides, –apparent to our eyes, our ears, even to our noses, — let us not forget the beauty of emptiness.  Here is a rosary of images by Fine Arts Photography Gallery 14, Hopewell, Photographer, Martha Weintraub.

She has the attentiveness and fortitude to go out in search of what she calls, “The Last of Winter.”

Even as yellow spurts and purple pulsates, remember how blessed we are in New Jersey with dramatic winters, with colorful winters.  Remember the joys of seeing trees pure forms, and tracking intrepid animals.

Celebrate ‘Old Man Winter,’ like a beloved relative, as he takes his leave.

Here tawny tones disguise the home of unseen overwhelmingly heard mellifluous spring peepers:

Here Martha Weintraub captures the splendor of dormant fields in late light, a typical New Jersey scene:

When all is seen and done, spring will explode in tones of green beyond counting.  And storms will scrawl their signatures across our eyes and eardrums, evidence of the clash of fronts, of systems, necessary for fruition:

Oh, I love these silhouettes of Martha’s! Seeing trees’ forms is a gift of winter, but for a novice like me, the easy spotting of nests and birds poised in their branches is another and equal delight.

I love the farm surrounded by the snow fence.
Beautiful lighting.

My favorite, too, is the image with the barns and the fences. It glows!

We are blessed to have four seasons here. The farm scene has great contrast with the billowy dark clouds and bright grass.

Rich images and colors–like paintings.
