Dream House

Filed under: Photography — Ilene Dube @ 7:23 pm

As I’ve written about before on The Artful Blogger, I dream of living in Hopewell, in one of its magnificent Victorian houses on those tree-lined hilly streets. Photographer Martha Weintraub dreams of those Hopewell houses as well, and creates enhanced photo portraits based on those dreams. To the left is a house on Greenwood Avenue that she enhanced with a 35-layer process.

Ms. Weintraub has created a series of these on spec, but is interested in creating custom house portraits for clients.

“Each HouseDream would be made in consultation with the client,” she writes. “At the initial meeting, we would discuss some ideas. I’ll ask questions about their relationship to the house and their feelings about it, discuss some of my ideas for an approach, and take some photographic sketches.”
